The Netfig Platform is a productivity tool for
the configuration of network devices.
It provides a rich environment for editing and
version control of
configuration files.
It will be extended by a number of
plugins that will support more advanced features including deployment support,
network monitoring and simulation.

The Netfig Platform provides a sophisticated configuration file editor which
supports command auto-completion,
underlining of errors, hover help, and automatic display of device manufacturer's
manual pages. Netfig has a console
view for connecting to devices and several revision control
features including integrated CVS
support, local history and 2 and 3
way visual comparison tools.
Netfig is built on Eclipse and
leverages Eclipses modular architecture.
