More schemas? - 2006/10/13 22:42 I'm using Cisco PIX firewalls and 6500 series switches, and ssh, so I can't pull live schemas it seems. Can I build schemas myself and add them in?

Are you planning on providing more?

netfig looks like it will be very helpful to me, and I'd love to help it grow, right now I'm mostly toying with it/learning how it all works.

Re:More schemas? - 2007/02/18 03:15 Hi,

Sorry, for the delay in getting back to you on this. Netfig has not been actively developed for a little while.

At this point the generation of schema's is pretty complex. We have code that goes in and automatically sucks the syntax from the box. The resulting syntax ends up being pretty specific to the device.

It might be possible to make the code that does this available within Netfig, but I guess we we expecting that with the automatic extraction this would not be necessary.

If you can connect to the box using Netfig then there is no reasonwhy the automatic extraction feature should not work (unless you have configured the box to reject multiple concurrent login sessions?). It maybe also be that there is a bug in this part of the software that is preventing your stuff from working?

Re:More schemas? - 2007/02/20 17:30 ahh, the problem then lies in the netfig having ssh support.

Is that going to happen, or has netfig dried up?
